The short answer

Mixed with 3 mL of bacteriostatic water, a 15 mg vial of Sermorelin holds 5 mg/mL. A 200 mcg dose is then 4 units (0.04 mL) on a U-100 insulin syringe, and the vial holds about 75 doses of that size. Taken 1× per day, it lasts about 11 weeks.

Human studies. Formerly FDA-approved (Geref) for children with GH deficiency. Discontinued in 2008; FDA later found it wasn’t withdrawn for safety or effectiveness reasons.

How much water

The water only sets the strength; the dose and the number of doses in the vial stay the same. Draws are on a U-100 insulin syringe, where 1 unit is 0.01 mL.

Draws over 100 units show in mL. Faded values are under 2 units, which is hard to measure. Check that your vial holds the larger volumes.

Where the doses come from

  • Label Children with GH deficiency: 30 mcg/kg once daily at bedtime.
  • Community Adults: 200–300 mcg nightly; some start at 100 mcg.

Doses are what labels, trials or community reports reference, not recommendations. Sermorelin’s page has the cycle, side effects, cautions and sources.

Mixing and storage

  1. PrepareLet a refrigerated vial come to room temperature, and wipe both stoppers with an alcohol swab.
  2. Add 3 mLDraw 3 mL of bacteriostatic water and let it run slowly down the inside wall of the vial.
  3. Swirl, don’t shakeSwirl gently until the powder dissolves and the liquid is clear.
  4. Label itWrite the date and the strength, 5 mg/mL, on the vial.

Storage: Mixed: 2–8 °C; follow the product’s beyond-use date.

Questions

How much water do I add to a 15 mg vial of sermorelin?

There’s no single right amount: the water only sets the strength. With 3 mL of bacteriostatic water, a 15 mg vial holds 5 mg/mL. With 1 mL it’s 15 mg/mL; with 2 mL it’s 7.5 mg/mL. Less liquid makes each dose a smaller draw; more makes small doses easier to measure.

How many units is 200 mcg of sermorelin?

With 3 mL in a 15 mg vial, 200 mcg is 4 units (0.04 mL) on a U-100 insulin syringe. With 1 mL, 1.3 units (0.013 mL); with 2 mL, 2.7 units (0.027 mL).

How many doses are in a 15 mg vial of sermorelin?

About 75 doses of 200 mcg, or 60 of 250 mcg or 50 of 300 mcg. Taken 1× per day at 200 mcg, it lasts about 11 weeks.

How long does a mixed vial of sermorelin keep?

Mixed: 2–8 °C; follow the product’s beyond-use date.
