This is the most speculative group on the site. Apart from SS-31’s approval for a rare disease, nothing here has trial evidence for energy or lifespan in healthy people.

SS-31 (elamipretide) is approved only for Barth syndrome, at 40 mg daily. The 1–10 mg ‘mito’ doses in circulation have no trial behind them.
Trial
NAD+ drips have to run slowly. A 750 mg infusion given over 6 hours in a research study caused no side effects; fast drips cause chest pressure and cramping.
Community
Epithalon’s human data come from a related pineal extract studied by one group. Courses run 10–20 days, once or twice a year.
Mixed as 50 mg + 3 mL (16.67 mg/mL). One vial holds 5 doses, about 5 days at this pace.
100 mg per course. Named for the Russian protocol, though the human data used the extract Epithalamin.
Practical tips
Start low, inject slowly
NAD+ commonly stings and can cause flushing or nausea. Slower injections and smaller doses help.
Community
Ask about the grade
CDC linked 25+ illnesses in 2026 to endotoxin in supplement-grade glutathione given by IV, IM and SC injection. Ask whether the product is pharmaceutical grade.
Courses, then months off
Bioregulators like Epithalon, Pinealon and Thymalin are run in short blocks with months off, not continuously.
Community
Measure something
Energy and wellbeing are easy to over-read. Track sleep, resting heart rate or training logs before and during.
Safety
Glutathione: fever, chills, body aches or dizziness after a dose needs prompt care, and trouble breathing or fainting is an emergency (CDC).
The SS-31 label warns of serious allergic reactions. Stop for widespread hives, swelling or trouble breathing.
Avoid Epithalon with active cancer: it switches on telomerase in cells, a theoretical concern.
During an NAD+ drip, stop if chest pressure or a racing heart doesn’t ease when the drip is slowed.
