The short answer

Mixed with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water, a 20 mg vial of Cardiogen holds 10 mg/mL. A 1 mg dose is then 10 units (0.10 mL) on a U-100 insulin syringe, and the vial holds about 20 doses of that size. Taken 1× per day, it lasts about 2.9 weeks.

Preclinical. Only cell and rat studies, all from the developers’ group and its partners: it stimulated growth of heart tissue in culture, slowed a transplanted tumor in rats and, per a review citing the developers’ patent, cut deaths after an induced heart attack in rats. No human study has been published. In Russia it is registered as a dietary supplement, not a medicine.

How much water

The water only sets the strength; the dose and the number of doses in the vial stay the same. Draws are on a U-100 insulin syringe, where 1 unit is 0.01 mL.

Draws over 100 units show in mL. Faded values are under 2 units, which is hard to measure. Check that your vial holds the larger volumes.

Where the doses come from

  • Community Injected: guides overlap at about 1 mg once daily for 10–20 days; most fall between 200 mcg and 2 mg, and a few list 10 mg or more.
  • Community Capsules: the Russian supplement’s directions are 1–2 capsules (100 mcg of peptide each) once or twice daily with meals for 1 month, repeated after 4–6 months.

Doses are what labels, trials or community reports reference, not recommendations. Cardiogen’s page has the cycle, side effects, cautions and sources.

Mixing and storage

  1. PrepareLet a refrigerated vial come to room temperature, and wipe both stoppers with an alcohol swab.
  2. Add 2 mLDraw 2 mL of bacteriostatic water and let it run slowly down the inside wall of the vial.
  3. Swirl, don’t shakeSwirl gently until the powder dissolves and the liquid is clear.
  4. Label itWrite the date and the strength, 10 mg/mL, on the vial.

Storage: Powder: −20 °C. Mixed: 2–8 °C, use within about 4 weeks. Supplement capsules: dry and dark at 2–25 °C.

The reconstitution guide covers each step, and the units page explains syringe markings.

Questions

How much water do I add to a 20 mg vial of Cardiogen?

There’s no single right amount: the water only sets the strength. With 2 mL of bacteriostatic water, a 20 mg vial holds 10 mg/mL. With 1 mL it’s 20 mg/mL; with 3 mL it’s 6.667 mg/mL. Less liquid makes each dose a smaller draw; more makes small doses easier to measure.

How many units is 1 mg of Cardiogen?

With 2 mL in a 20 mg vial, 1 mg is 10 units (0.10 mL) on a U-100 insulin syringe. With 1 mL, 5 units (0.05 mL); with 3 mL, 15 units (0.15 mL).

How many doses are in a 20 mg vial of Cardiogen?

About 20 doses of 1 mg, or 13 of 1.5 mg or 10 of 2 mg. Taken 1× per day at 1 mg, it lasts about 2.9 weeks.

How long does a mixed vial of Cardiogen keep?

Powder: −20 °C. Mixed: 2–8 °C, use within about 4 weeks. Supplement capsules: dry and dark at 2–25 °C.
